1.Govt. ties up with IIT-Delhi for safety switches on vehicles.
Ministry of Electronics and IT with IIT-Delhi to aid safety of women.
The first version by May,2018 for cars and Aug, 2018 for buses.
The project is being funded by the Nirbhaya Fund, set-up in 2013.

2.Madhya Pradesh to hold meet on Gurukul System.

3-day Int’l Conference of Gurukul from April 28 to 30 at Ujjain.
Organised in collaboration with the Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal.
3.MOU signed between Indian Army and Axis Bank on the Defence Salary Package.
4.India Mobile Congress will be held from 25th to 27th October, 2018 , at Aerocity, New Delhi.

5.The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh launched ‘e-FRRO’ (e-Foreigners Regional Registration Office)

6.CWG 2018

◆21st CWG came to end with India finishing at 3rd spot with 66 medals including 26 Gold, 20 Silver, 20 Bronze Medals at GoadCoast, Australia.
◆India breached the 500th medal mark in CWG with a total 502 medals now.
◆Mary Com was the flag bearer for India at the closing ceremony of CWG.
◆Saina Nehwal won her 2nd Gold in CWG defeating her compatriot PV Sindhu in Badminton.
◆Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Palikal settled for a silver in Women’s doubles squash.
